As we reflect on the accomplishments of the past year, the entire team at SL+A has so much to be thankful for and to celebrate with everyone. Our team delivered undeniable value to each and every project, forged incredible collaborations and launched several new initiatives in the year 2023.
As a polestar, we embarked upon our The Future is Now initiative – pushing the boundaries of design, embracing innovation, and fostering sustainability in every aspect of our work with our teams throughout the SL+A Group.
We are ecstatic to announce the position of Group Chairman will continue to be held by Mr. Martin Axe for 2024 – marking his thirtieth year with SL+A! Since joining the Steven Leach Group in 1994, Martin has served as an unstoppable guiding force within the Kuala Lumpur office, leading the team for over two decades and propelling the KL office forward with his vision, tenacity and leadership expertise. As Group Chairman, his experience and overall direction will continue to steer the Group and our brand forward, allowing SL+A to implement region-wide strategies that offer creative solutions to architectural and interior design.
SL+A consistently attracts and retains top talent and promising trailblazers to work within the team at large – the year 2023 was no exception! We are pleased to share the great news of the promotion of three key leaders to Group Partners: Vivian Chang, Senior Director from the Taipei office; Jason Wang, Project Director with the Shanghai Corporate team, and Nicky Wong, Commercial Director in the Kuala Lumpur office. Together, we continue to work towards unified Group goals and bolster operations throughout East Asia with dynamic enthusiasm.
The future is very bright with our star performers taking on key positions in the Group – we want to extend a big welcome to this promising quadrumvirate; we know they will surely bring new perspectives and exciting ideas to SL+A in 2024!

Joining our Singapore office as Managing Director is Chin Yoon Han. As an accomplished architect with over 15 years of experience in APAC, Han exemplifies tenacity in tackling challenges head-on, consistently delivering impeccable results across diverse projects in the Asia Pacific region. We are thrilled to embark on several promising new projects spanning a number of different sectors and new clientele – with Chin Yoon Han leading the way, he demonstrates acumen in navigating complex projects with precision and creativity, infusing the Singapore office with a new vigor to achieve unprecedented success in the domain of interior design consultancy.
Jasmine Ishaque is the newly appointed Brand & Business Development Director at Steven Leach Group in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Jasmine joins the Group with an impressive resume of spanning 25 years in the industry. The value she brings to SL+A KL and Singapore is rooted in her dynamic leadership experience in advertising, brand development, and consulting on both the local and global scale. Ms. Ishaque has honed her ability to drive growth, contribute to the success of teams and brands through excellent resourcefulness and cross-industry know-how.
June Valaisurang is a welcome addition to our Bangkok office as the General Manager. June established her track record of working for global advertising agencies throughout her career. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, June ensures effective communication is at the forefront of project processes and effectively caters to all the different parties involved. Ms. Valaisurang will ensure the growth and profitability of SL+A Bangkok and nurture strong relationships with the team, clients and stakeholders.
Sharon Yeoh has been a steadfast anchor for SL+A since joining the Group in 1993 – Ms. Yeoh was an integral part of establishing the foundations of our Kuala Lumpur office, overseeing exponential growth while working closely with our esteemed founder, the late Steven Leach Jr. Her valuable contributions were again put to great use when Sharon was relocated to our Shanghai establishment, where the primary focus was around hospitality design. She served as a key member of the operations team at the SL+A Shanghai office for fifteen years from 2008-mid 2023. With over three decades of work experience within the Group, today she spearheads regional hospitality business development under SL+A HOTELS – our hospitality design brand.
