Supplier Code of Conduct


Steven Leach Group (“SL+A”) is committed to a high standard of business ethics and integrity wherever it operates. SL+A expects its suppliers, contractors and subcontractors (“Suppliers”) to adhere to the same ethical standards.

This Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”) is based on the values and principles set forth in the UN Global Compact


Human Rights

  • Suppliers should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.
  • Suppliers should make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labour

  • Suppliers should uphold freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.
  • Suppliers should prohibit forced and compulsory labor in all its forms.
  • Suppliers should not employ child labor. “Child” means a person younger than the local legal minimum age for employment.
  • Suppliers should not discriminate in hiring and employment practices, including salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement, on the basis of race, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, political opinion or disability.

Environment

  • Suppliers should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
  • Suppliers should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
  • Suppliers should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

  • Suppliers should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Whenever the laws or regulations of the country where it operates impose stricter standards than this Code, the higher standard shall prevail, unless this results in illegal activity in the countries in which it operates.
