Natural light filters into the building through the façade and roof, creating interlaced light and shadow effects. The inspiration comes from the architecture of Chongming Island, and we incorporated elements of nature, sunlight, and ecology into the interior design

To further connect the first and second floors, an attractive spiral staircase provides an attractive connection in the lobby. The abundance of flora found around the Dongtan wetlands was the inspiration for the bespoke lighting features – dandelion seeds flying into the wind. The whole concept narrative is connected by physical representations and abstract details found in nature.
